CST Founder Scott Sonnon Praises IC Prep Course Participants
Rarely, unfortunately, do people adequately prepare for Circular Strength Training Instructor Schools. This is due partly because the fitness industry has become a weekend diploma mill where you arrive and depart certified, even if you didn’t participate. Not so with our CST School, which involves a rigorous 22.5 hours of examinations, including physical competency tests.
To a one, every participant that had prepared with RMAX Coach Ryan Hurst’s online IC Prep Course performed with impressive precision. I was astounded, as were all my staff. A few returning instructors, who had sat on their laurels without preparing, were beaten in the physical exams by some of these IC Prep Course graduates… without ever having been face-to-face with a CST Coach. This was purely through the internet.
There’s something amazing going on with Coach Hurst’s course. If you want to be the best, even from the sanctity of your own home training gym, this is it.

Here are a few comments from participants in our past courses.
Andy and Ryan,
This course exceeded my expectations. It was easy to follow and videos were great, especially the follow-alongs. I am a veteran athlete with other life responsibilities. You gave me a six week progression to follow and you made it easy and fun. I was afraid at first that I wouldn’t find it challenging enough, but boy was I wrong! This gave me some new combinations and explanations of exercises that improved my performance and my energy levels. I love the Flow you provided at the end of the course. A huge bonus for me was the video about “shoulder pack.” I thought I understood this and found that I did not and you gave me a lot to think about and work on. My left shoulder has been a problem for me off and on and this REALLY helped. Because of this course I gained in energy levels, overall fitness and movement effectiveness and substantially improved my fitness level. Thank you both for your commitment to excellence.
Cheers!

Ryan & Andy,
Thanks so much Ryan and Andy. With all the downloadable videos & audio, the progressively challenging workouts, the coaching, feedback on form, the support, the forum, the teams, tele-conference Q & A’s, nutrition guidelines, handy PDF’s, and personal results during this six weeks I can honestly say the course far exceeded my expectations. You two really care about everyone participating and worked your tails off to put together such an excellent program. I can’t thank you both enough. I feel like a new person and am very pleased with the results.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey Samson
Something magical happens when one is able to follow, step-by-step, such a finely crafted program. The body begins to somehow shift into a higher state of functioning.
Built into the course was also a quick trip up the “Training Hierarchy Pyramid” a progression from GPP, kind of gross/base movements patterns, and up into more sophisticated movement and finally hitting MEP where our mental and emotional toughness was pushed to its limit, made possible only by the initial foundations.
Whew, and this was only the physical aspect of the course!
As a result of the exercise component itself I found new levels of daily energy, made small improvements in my basic movement and mobility as well as strength gains and managing to put on 3kg of lean muscle in 5 weeks!
This was great in and of itself yet for me this was, suprisingly, the smallest part of what I got from this course.
Included in the course was also a section on nutrition that laid out basic guidelines and gave tools and strategies for developing positive nutritional habits. once i managed to internalise these processes I discovered that it was actually easy to build these new haits.
For the first time ever I feel I am free from the compulsive ‘all or nothing’ attitude to diet I once held that caused nothing but repeated crashing and burning. Now every week I am eating better than the last and the greatest part is that so far it seems completely sustainable. For me this is something huge.
If that wasn’t enough… actually the most delicious part of the sandwich, to me, was the additional section on goal setting. For so long I have lived in fantasy land, having what I thought were nothing but grandiose dreams and desires without ever any idea of how to bring them into reality apart from wishing upon them.
For the purposes of the course we were to restrict ourselves to a major health breakthrough goal… yet luckily for me this is also my current major life goal.
Through the guidance and processes outlined in the course, for the first time ever (yes another first) I actually feel that my dreams are no longer unattainable. I have created maps of steps needed to get to my destination, and have started already taking some of them, along with now consistently implementing new processes and habits that work positively towards that major goal.
For me this is nothing short of life changing!
The last little touch to the course was the creation of accountability groups. Participants were grouped together by similarities and given charge of looking out for each other for the duration of the course. Being accountable to another is a wonderful incentive to push one’s limits and I believe studies have shown that it is often a critical factor in personal success.
Overall I can say without a doubt that this course was worth ever cent, and then some.
There will be a new course starting sometime in January along with a level 2 version, which I have every intention of joining!
A heartfelt thank you to Ryan and Andy:I too was a participant along with Damien and would like to add my praise for the Sandwich Course. For someone who had basically been inactive for the last three years and whose job kept him desk bound, these 6 weeks were a transformation. The format made sure that a procrastinator like me kept a daily nutrition and activity log which was reviewed and commented upon by the coaches as well as other participants in my accountability group. This in itself was a big achievement for me.
Now there was a specific physical activity used as a measuring stick to gauge how far we had progressed and I saw quite an improvement. However for me the real measuring stick is the energy that I now have when I play with my toddler in the evening and the confidence and pleasure with which I now approach any physical activity. My body language has changed. I move differently now. My body seems to crave movement and that is what now makes me do Intu-Flow® every morning, even on those mornings when previously I would just say “screw it” and drink my coffee and go to work.I have tasted what it is like to be fit to go through my life. I want more…
