FAQ

Common Questions About CST101

How is the course content delivered?

After enrolling, members will be sent log-in information for a private, members-only blog and forum where we’ll upload the videos and other materials.

Each week, we’ll post a weekly outline that lays out the videos and workouts for the next seven days. On the appropriate day, you simply download the video, print out the worksheet, or do the assigned workout – simple as that. When you’re done, or if you have problems, drop a note in the forums, and we’ll help you out. It really could not get much easier.

How much time does it take?

The workouts are usually short – typically between 20 and 30 minutes. Some days, it might take a little more time to practice new movements, but you’ll never have to worry about your workouts taking time away from your family or other commitments. That said, there will be physical work every single day of the eight weeks (the exception being that Sundays are always a rest day on the Intro to CST course), but it might only be five or ten minutes of joint movements. Each week will be a little different, but all will be reasonable.

Besides the actual training time, you’ll need to set aside some time for watching the videos, planning your goals, interacting on the forums, and (in the IC Prep course) studying the theory. These things will help you get the most out of the course, and we’ve found that those who participate fully report the best results (go figure…).

I’m not sure about working with a coach over the internet. How can you tell me if I’m doing it wrong when you can’t even see me?

That’s a great question and a valid concern. A big part of coaching is one-on-one interaction and on-the-spot correction. We can’t be there to make sure you’re doing everything perfectly, which is one reason this course is going to cost a lot less than private sessions in Ryan’s studio.

Still, doing the exercises with correct form is extremely important if we want to get the maximum results with the minimum risk of injury. Ryan has coached lots of people, and he knows what the most common mistakes look like. Not only will we be giving you detailed instruction in performing each exercise, we’ll also show you examples of the most common errors in form and tell you how to fix them.

If you still have questions, you’ll have the opportunity to ask away either on the forums or on one of our Q&A call sessions.

Is there a fat-loss program?

Not specifically, but you’ll most certainly improve your body composition in any of our courses. The combination of solid nutrition and focused workouts will definitely help you get in better shape.

What if I don’t get results?

To be perfectly honest, this just is not within the realm of possibility. We will be working very closely together to ensure that you do get results. Unlike other programs that teach you a workout and leave you to succeed or fail on your own, CST101 is integrated with continued coaching over the duration of an 8-week period. If part of the course isn’t working for you, we will work together to find something that does.

That said, you can rest assured that we don’t want to take your money if you can’t benefit from the course. If you sign up and then decide that CST101 is not for you, we’ll figure out a solution that makes everyone happy.

I’ve already seen every exercise in the world and read all the diet books. Why should I enroll in this course?

Do you have the health and fitness you desire?

There’s no shortage of free information out there about working out and eating well, but if information was all it took to be healthy, we’d all look like pro-athletes and super-models. The fact is that exercising and “eating right” aren’t enough – you need to put everything together in the right way if you want to get the best results. Putting it all together is what CST101 is all about.

CST is the most integrated health system out there, and CST101 courses are designed to make that integration accessible. Beyond that, you’ll be working with a team of professionals and other course participants. There’s really no way you can go wrong.

Is the Intro to CST course just for beginners?

Absolutely not. In fact, we had several CST instructors join the first incarnation of Intro to CST (which was originally called the “Sandwich Course”), and they all learned a lot. Just because it’s called “Intro” doesn’t mean it’s easy – the training is scalable to your level, so you can be assured that it will work for you, whether you’re a couch surfer or a veteran athlete.

Intro to CST is a fundamental course for anyone who wants to experience a fully-integrated CST program or work with a Faculty Coach. It’s a perfect introduction and also a solid refresher course for experienced CST athletes. This course doesn’t require any particular equipment or familiarity with other RMAX resources or DVDs.

I’ve been training with CST for a while, but I don’t really want to try for certification. Which course should I join?

We recommend the IC Prep course even for people who don’t plan to attend a seminar. It’s great for athletes and health-first fitness enthusiasts of all kinds. With an in-depth focus on the most important components of CST theory and plenty of work with Clubbells and CST’s Intu-Flow and FlowFit programs, you’ll be sure to see drastic improvement in your knowledge and performance.

In general, the IC Prep course is more “serious” than he Intro to CST course and goes more deeply into the theory behind the programs and movements. As such, we require participants to have some familiarity with RMAX products and be able to access Clubbells.

How do I choose the right course for me?

We’ve done our best to provide clear outlines of the content for each course on the individual course pages, but if you’re still not sure, just drop us an email (address at the top right of this page), and we’ll help you figure it out.

When are the courses offered?

The IC Prep course will always be offered in the two months leading up to RMAX Instructor Certification seminars. Those dates are usually available well in advance. We’ll schedule our courses to conclude the week before each seminar.

Intro to CST will be offered several times a year. Check the course page for specific dates.

We’ll be launching new courses in the near future. If you want to be informed when courses are offered, just fill in the form on the top right of this page. We promise, no spam.

How do I sign up?

Easy. Just click the Pay Now button the the info page for the course you want to join. After payment, you’ll be directed to a registration page on our super-secret members’ site.
